Tips for Practicing the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto
1. Understand the Structure
Familiarize yourself with the overall structure of the concerto. It consists of three movements: Allegro moderato, Andante, and Allegro non troppo. Knowing how each movement flows into the next will help you with transitions.
2. Focus on Technical Passages
Identify the challenging technical passages and break them down into smaller sections. Practice slowly, gradually increasing the tempo as you become more comfortable.
